Director’s Annual Year End Report
21 January 2021
2020 was unquestionably a challenging year for our ministry, as it was for everyone, but also brought about some interesting positive things that were in some ways quite unexpected.
Firewalker Ministries was definitely impacted by COVID. Several events that were in various stages of planning ended up getting cancelled due to restrictions, including some fundraising activities and some general “get to know me” activities intended to get the word out about who we are. We were able to do a couple of First Responder Open Rides in the late summer and early fall, and did co-host a father/kid event at one of the local barns with the Alpha Family Center here in Lowell. I have also been working with one individual to get him connected with an equine assisted therapy program, and have been personally involved in connecting a few “non-responder” individuals with horse experiences as well. I am cautiously optimistic about what the new year holds, and look forward to things hopefully loosening up and allowing us to become more active again. We did get set up with some options for online giving, which garnered additional funds this year, and hopefully will provide more in the coming year.
There are some interesting possibilities currently in the works for the ministry that could be very exciting … However, due to the uncertainty of these things, I am going to forego listing them here, but will absolutely be keeping you updated as I am able. Stay tuned 🙂 Please pray for this ministry. If you can support it financially that would be incredible but prayer support is absolutely vital
I look forward to what God will do through Firewalker in the coming year.
In Christ
